In this memoir, Paul presents events that he and his wife, Judy, faced traveling the Alzheimer’s Journey to help others on this same journey better prepare for what lies ahead. He also provides takeaways in each event to help the caregiver best react to similar events. This memoir tracks three threads: the emotional bond between Paul and Judy that softened the unpleasantness associated with this disease; the loneliness that comes with the isolation of caregiving; and the stress that increases as the end approaches. As an added benefit, Paul discusses mistakes he made with alternative suggestions to help the new caregiver achieve better outcomes.

Paul served in the USAF for twenty-two years and worked as a civilian contractor supporting the Intelligence Com for an additional  twenty years. Paul has written seven literary novels (unpublished) and is now retired and works full time on creative writing.
